Maria Brouwer

Maria grew up on her family’s farm outside of Barrhead, Alberta, Canada, spending years working alongside her dad before moving to Australia in 2018. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing, at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Before moving into marketing, Maria spent several years as a barista at Third Place, where she developed a love for good coffee and connecting with people. She began her marketing career at Chilli Group, working across SEO, social media, content and digital campaigns, before joining Smartyr Marketing as a Digital Marketing Specialist in December 2025.

Outside of work, Maria loves travelling, bouldering and finding a great coffee spot. She’s happiest around good people, exploring somewhere new, or planning her next adventure.
